A minute of silence was held in the UK in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.

According to The Guardian, a minute of silence took place on Sunday at 20:00. Mourners across the UK gathered together to pay their respects.

People queuing to pay their last respects also observed a moment of silence.

A small crowd of people stopped near London Bridge and bowed her head.

Dozens of Metropolitan Police officers also silently gathered alongside the mourners and later sang the national anthem.
