LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Fox’s “Big Noon Kickoff” show lands on UNL’s campus for the first time for Oklahoma at the Nebraska football game.

The show brings an already energetic campus even more coverage and excitement as the rivalry is reignited.

“We’ll have a DJ, we have an MC, we give away tons of T-shirts, hats, prizes,” said Rob Mikulicka, the show’s director of operations.

“I mean, this is where we want people to come to have fun here before they go have fun in the stadium.”

The live event is hosted by Rob Stone and features a cast of former football players and coaches such as 2004 Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart and former Oklahoma Sooners head coach Bob Stoops.

Nebraska had coverage from “Big Noon Kickoff” in 2020 when the Huskers faced Ohio State and again in 2021 against Oklahoma.

“We’re putting on an event live here,” Mikulicka said. “So that television show is important to us, but this live event is just as important.”
